Aitutaki - Where the picture postcards come from
By Joe

Aitutaki Lagoon is just fantastic. Think of all the White Sands and Blue Waters you see in the glossy magazines. This is where they are from! We arrived in around 8am and had early check in which included breakfast. But the blue waters were just so inviting all we wanted to do was swim in there! We did Tekings Lagoon Cruise - great experience. If you go to One Foot Island do take your passport and get it stamped (they did charge $NZ2.50) very cool! (See our review on this too) One night we went to Tepuna Restaurant - best food on the Island and reasonably priced too. Their menu can change daily depending on the catch! We travelled with kids and they made special meals for them, was great. Really worth making the Trip to Aitutaki as part of your visit. Rarotonga is fantastic too, this is just a different fantastic!
Raro - Aitutaki on a Budget
By Steve

Enjoy the Garden Tours and Nature Walks of Rarotonga while staying at the Northern end of Muri Lagoon. Then fly to Aitutaki staying at Amuri Guesthouse (large 6 bedroom villa with shared facilities) and get out on the Lagoon with Teking in his legendary lagoon cruise.
Aitutaki - Where the picture postcards come from!
By Joe

Aitutaki took our breath away. The beautiful blue waters of the lagoon and the white sands are what you see in the glossy magazines and postcards. Be sure to take Tekings Lagoon cruise so you can get around some of the Motu (Islands) such as Honeymoon Island, Maina Island and One Foot Island. Also see where Survivor was filmed. Snorkelling amoungst the colorful coral and tropical fish is a must do! See Giant Clams, a Pearl Farm, and hand feed (while you swim with them) butterfly fish, picaso, trevally and more! Highly Recommended Must See!
3 Islands in 3 weeks, Rarotonga, Atiu and Aitutaki
By Jan

Take your time to get to know the real Cook Islands by spending 3 weeks exploring and experiencing island life on Rarotonga, Atiu and Aitutaki. Stay in self catering beachside bungalows and feel the warmth of the island sun and the friendliness of the Cook Island people. Get acclimatised to the slower pace of island life in Rarotonga. Spend your days swimming and snorkelling and have a 4 wheel drive adventure with Raro tours. Taste delicious island cuisine at local restaurants and don’t miss Jim’s beach BBQ night at Aroa Beach. Then get off the beaten path by flying to Atiu for an unforgettable week. Many say that Atiu is what Rarotonga used to be like 50 years ago, simple, pure and uncommercialised. Let the locals show you their island. Explore Atiu’s caves and beaches, try bush beer and join in on island life. Lastly fly to the island paradise of Aitutaki and play in its world famous lagoon. Let Teking take you out to his favourite snorkelling spots, see giant clams, beautiful tropical fish and coral. Have a private lunch in the lagoon on shores of an uninhabited island, and see where Survivor Cook Islands was filmed. Then fly back to Rarotonga for your connecting flight home.
